I Love Loveland is a brand new concept and model designed for community-driven media that promotes and encourages community good. Built around new media, while also integrating traditional media, our mission is to promote community good by making it easy, convenient and fun for community members to stay informed, engaged and involved.
The Need: Advances in technology and media over the last 5-10 years have dramatically changed the way we communicate both locally and globally. Government, media outlets, corporations, and other organizations are struggling to adapt to this new environment where consumers now have more choices in the information they consume as well as the opportunity to participate in the messages and conversations.
The I Love Loveland network has been developed specifically for this shift that has put more control into the hands of users and given them a voice to participate in the conversation as well. Unlike existing media outlets trying to awkwardly adapt their old models to fit the new era, we are developing a model specifically for today’s tech-savvy and highly connected world. Our founder began an intensive study and exploration in 2010 and has been strategically developing tools and resources to maximize the good that can come from this technology while minimizing the obstacles and challenges. Our overwhelming success and demand from the community thus far has demonstrated we are on the right path, which makes us very excited about our development plans for the future.

Our new website LovelandLocal.com has been designed to expand what we are able to provide on our I Love Loveland Facebook Page. Because Facebook doesn’t have a good structure for saving, organizing and indexing information, it made sense to expand our good by having a community website hub. While our initial site is complete and ready to launch, we have amazing plans for additions and new features to add as we progress.
Video is an integral part of any media outreach since so many people now get most of their news and entertainment online instead of on the television. We plan to use this to share great videos about Loveland on a wide variety of topics and including many active community members. We have collaborated with Ben Price, expert videographer, to be able to offer professional level video productions . We can provide videos for or about our sponsors, or sponsors can help us be able to produce great content about our community in general.
We knew that if we already have a great media team finding, organizing and sharing all sorts of great community content, it simply made sense to include a print publication to ensure we get our information to as many community members as possible. Thus we’re currently working on the infrastructure and team for a quarterly print magazine for Loveland community topics. This will be a full-color, glossy magazine on recycled paper, 48-64 pages, covering regular topics such as arts & culture, kids & family, sustainable living, home & garden, business and innovation, history, community member profiles and much more.
